Journal ArticleDOI
Applicability of the Monocyte Activation Test (MAT) in the quality control of the 17DD yellow fever vaccine.
Katherine Antunes de Mattos,Elaine Cristina Azevedo Navega,Vitor Fernandes Silva,Alessandra Santos Almeida,Cristiane Caldeira da Silva,Octavio Augusto França Presgrave,Daniel da Silva Guedes Junior,Isabella Fernandes Delgado +7 more
TL;DR: The quantitative analysis demonstrated the correlation between the MAT and the Limulus amoebocyte lysate (LAL) assays, with respect to the limits of endotoxin recovery in spiked batches and the detection of no pyrogenic contamination in commercial batches of 17DD-YFV.
Journal ArticleDOI
A comparison of pyrogen detection tests in the quality control of meningococcal conjugate vaccines: The applicability of the Monocyte Activation Test.
Vitor Fernandes Silva,Daniel da Silva Guedes Junior,Ivna Alana Freitas Brasileiro da Silveira,Alessandra Santos Almeida,Fernando de Paiva Conte,Isabella Fernandes Delgado,Cristiane Caldeira da Silva,Octavio Augusto França Presgrave,Katherine Antunes de Mattos +8 more
TL;DR: The introduction of the MAT during MenCC development could contribute to the elimination of animal tests post-licensing, ensuring human protection based on an effective non-animal based method of quality control.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of hydrogen peroxide virucidal efficacy against yellow fever virus 17DD vaccine strain for application in a vaccine manufacturing industry
Ana Carolina Ferreira Ballestê Ajorio,Vinícius Pessanha Rhodes,Anderson Peclat Rodrigues,Filipe Mercês Moreira,Vanessa Alvaro Diniz,Josiane Machado Vieira Mattoso,Igor Barbosa da Silva,Daniel da Silva Guedes Junior,Marcelo Luiz Lima Brandão +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the inactivation performance of hydrogen peroxide to the 17DD vaccine strain, used for the production of attenuated yellow fever vaccine, in two matrixes: formulated Yellow Fever vaccine (FYV) and active pharmaceutical ingredient (API).
Journal ArticleDOI
Differential Expression of Immune Genes in the Rhipicephalus microplus Gut in Response to Theileria equi Infection
Patrícia Gonzaga Paulino,Maristela Peckle,Leo Paulis Mendonça,Carlos Luiz Massard,Sandra Antunes,Joana Couto,Ana Domingos,Daniel da Silva Guedes Junior,Alejandro Cabezas-Cruz,Huarrisson Azevedo Santos +9 more
TL;DR: In this article , the expression of genes involved in immune signaling pathways of R. microplus adults' guts when challenged with a high or low parasitic load of T. equi was evaluated.
