Journal ArticleDOI
Antineoplastic agents. 168. Isolation and structure of axinohydantoin
George R. Pettit,Cherry L. Herald,John E. Leet,Rajesh Gupta,Daniel E. Schaufelberger,Robert B. Bates,Paul J. Clewlow,Dennis L. Doubek,Kirk P. Manfredi,Klaus Rützler,Jean M. Schmidt,Larry P. Tackett,Franklin B. Ward,Michael A. Bruck,Fernando Camou +14 more
TL;DR: Present experience with sponges in the Axinella and Hymeniacidon genera suggests that the previously known hymenialdisine and analogous imidazole derivatives may be widely distributed among these and related orange colored Porifera.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antineoplastic agents, 177. Isolation and structure of phyllanthostatin 6.
George R. Pettit,Daniel E. Schaufelberger,Ronald A. Nieman,Claude Dufresne,J. A. Saenz-Renauld +4 more
TL;DR: The isolation and structural elucidation of a new Phyllanthus glycoside, phyllanthostatin 6, was summarized and two other new constituents were shown to be didesacetylphyll anthostatin 3 and descinnamoylphyllanthocindiol.
Journal ArticleDOI
Isolation and structure of rolliniastatin 2: A new cell growth inhibitory acetogenin from Rollinia mucosa
George R. Pettit,Roland Riesen,John E. Leet,Judith Polonsky,Cecil R. Smith,Jean M. Schmidt,Claude Dufresne,Daniel E. Schaufelberger,Chiristion Moretti +8 more
TL;DR: A new cell growth inhibitory acetogenin, designated rolliniastatin 2, has been isolated from seeds of the South American Rollinia mucosa (Annonaceae) and its structure determined as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Isolation and structure of the cytostatic lignan glycoside phyllanthostatin A.
TL;DR: An unusual cytostatic (PS ED50 4 micrograms/ml) lignan ester has been isolated from the Central American tree Phyllanthus acuminatus and designated phyllanthostatin A and its structure was determined by hrfabms and 2D-nmr spectroscopy.
Journal Article
Separation of pyrroloimidazoles from indo-pacific marine sponges by high-speed countercurrent distribution
TL;DR: High-speed countercurrent distribution (HSGCD) with a multilayer coil plant centrifuge has been used for the isolation of pyrrololactams 1-3 from two marine sponges.
