Journal ArticleDOI
Molecular Structure – Optical Property Relationships for a Series of Non-Centrosymmetric Two-photon Absorbing Push-Pull Triarylamine Molecules
Marcelo G. Vivas,Marcelo G. Vivas,Daniel L. Silva,Daniel L. Silva,Jérémy Malinge,Mohammed Boujtita,Robert Zaleśny,Wojciech Bartkowiak,Hans Ågren,Sylvio Canuto,Leonardo De Boni,Eléna Ishow,Eléna Ishow,Cleber Renato Mendonça +13 more
TL;DR: The 2PA results were eventually supported and confronted with theoretical DFT calculations of the two-photon transition oscillator strengths and in terms of EWG strength, degree of donor-acceptor charge transfer and electronic coupling between the arms.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Role of Molecular Conformation and Polarizable Embedding for One- and Two-Photon Absorption of Disperse Orange 3 in Solution
Daniel L. Silva,N. Arul Murugan,Jacob Kongsted,Zilvinas Rinkevicius,Sylvio Canuto,Hans Ågren +5 more
TL;DR: Alternative exchange-correlation functionals have been employed in order to describe the charge-transfer process following the electronic transitions of the chromophore in solution, and the width of the line shape function of the two electronic lowest energy excited states is estimated.
Journal Article
The Role of Molecular Conformation and Polarizable Embedding for One- and Two-Photon Absorption of Disperse Orange 3 in Solution B
Daniel L. Silva,N. Arul Murugan,Jacob Kongsted,Zilvinas Rinkevicius,Sylvio Canuto,Hans Ågren +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a discrete polarizable embedding (PE) response theory was used to estimate the width of the line shape function of the two electronic lowest energy excited states of DO3 in DMSO in the visible spectral region.
Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental and Theoretical Study on the One- and Two-Photon Absorption Properties of Novel Organic Molecules Based on Phenylacetylene and Azoaromatic Moieties
Marcelo G. Vivas,Daniel L. Silva,Leonardo De Boni,Yann Bretonnière,Chantal Andraud,Florence Laibe-Darbour,Jean-Christophe Mulatier,Robert Zaleśny,Wojciech Bartkowiak,Sylvio Canuto,Cleber Renato Mendonça +10 more
TL;DR: Using the theoretical results, the experimental results were able to interpret the experimental trends of the 2PA spectra and a strong qualitative and quantitative correlation between experimental and theoretical results was observed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental and theoretical investigation of the first-order hyperpolarizability of a class of triarylamine derivatives.
Daniel L. Silva,Daniel L. Silva,Ruben D. Fonseca,Marcelo G. Vivas,Eléna Ishow,Sylvio Canuto,Cleber Renato Mendonça,Leonardo De Boni +7 more
TL;DR: It was found that although solvated in an aprotic and low dielectric constant solvent, due to solvent-induced polarization and the frequency dispersion effect, the environment substantially affects the first-order hyperpolarizability of all derivatives investigated.
