Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of inhibiting cholesteryl ester transfer protein on the kinetics of high-density lipoprotein cholesteryl ester transport in plasma: in vivo studies in rabbits.
Patrick Kee,Daniela Caiazza,Kerry-Anne Rye,Kerry-Anne Rye,Kerry-Anne Rye,P.H.R. Barrett,L.A. Morehouse,Philip J. Barter,Philip J. Barter +8 more
TL;DR: How CETP inhibition in rabbits impacts on the kinetics of HDL CE transport in plasma is described and it is shown that inhibiting CETP in rabbits does not compromise the removal of HDLCE from plasma.
Journal ArticleDOI
N-Glycosylation regulates endothelial lipase-mediated phospholipid hydrolysis in apoE- and apoA-I-containing high density lipoproteins.
Danielle Skropeta,Chatri Settasatian,Monica R. McMahon,Kate Shearston,Daniela Caiazza,Kristine C.Y. McGrath,Weijun Jin,Daniel J. Rader,Philip J. Barter,Philip J. Barter,Kerry-Anne Rye,Kerry-Anne Rye,Kerry-Anne Rye +12 more
TL;DR: Analysis of kinetics of phospholipid hydrolysis in fully characterized preparations of spherical reconstituted high density lipoprotein (rHDL) shows that individual N-linked glycans have unique and important effects on the phospholine activity and substrate specificity of EL.
Journal ArticleDOI
Apolipoproteins regulate the kinetics of endothelial lipase-mediated hydrolysis of phospholipids in reconstituted high-density lipoproteins.
TL;DR: It is established that apolipoproteins are major determinants of the kinetics of EL-mediated phospholipid hydrolysis in rHDL and (A-I/A-II)rHDL is a competitive inhibitor of the EL- mediated phospholipses.
