TL;DR: The analysis of the effect of pravastatin in the subgroup of high compliers to randomized medication demonstrated a substantial increase in the estimated risk reductions in comparison with that achieved in the intention-to-treat analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI
A prospective randomized trial of tocainide in patients following myocardial infarction.
B.C. Bastian,P.W. Macfarlane,J.H. McLauchlan,David Ballantyne,Robyn Clark,W.S. Hillis,Alan P. Rae,I. Hutton +7 more
TL;DR: Although ventricular arrhythmias were suppressed, the number of patients in the study was too small to draw conclusions regarding the mortality rate and there was no conclusive evidence of myocardial depression, heart rate and blood pressure being unchanged over the 6-month period.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electrocardiographic findings in male veteran endurance athletes.
TL;DR: Heart block patterns and profound bradycardia are more frequent in older athletes than their youthful counterparts, and they occur at night and resolved during exercise.
