Active Vibration Damping in Hydraulic Construction Machinery

TL;DR: In this paper, the potential advantages of active oscillation control strategies with respect to current state-of-the-art passive strategies are evaluated. And the effectiveness of the current passive vibration damping approach with regards to reducing the vibrations perceived by the operator in the cabin, as well as those affecting the payload, is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Modeling hydraulic actuator mechanical dynamics from pressure measured at control valve ports

TL;DR: The goal of this article is to formulate and validate a model for the prediction of the mechanical dynamics of hydraulic actuators controlled by means of proportional directional valves (PDVs), and show the accuracy of the model for all operating conditions, including the assistive load condition.
