Modeling the active site in hemocyanin: Synthesis and reactivity of binuclear copper complexes

TL;DR: Binucleating ligands that provide three nitrogen donors, and in some cases a phenolate group, to each copper ion have been synthesized, suggesting that seemingly simple structural modifications of model systems for the hemocyanin active site may cause substantial changes in reactivity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of dioxomolybdenum(VI) complexes of heterocyclic-N,O and-N,S ligands

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that Heterocycles do not provide enough steric bulk to allow generation of skew-trapezoidal complexes, and therefore, they are not suitable for skew-tripezoidal structures.
