The Higher Fullerenes: Isolation and Characterization of C76, C84, C90, C94, and C70O, an Oxide of D5h-C70

TL;DR: The toluene extract of the fluffy carbon material produced by resistive heating of graphite contains a variety of molecules larger than C60 and C70 in a total amount of 3 to 4% by weight that are identified as higher fullerenes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Size and temporal dependence of the average kinetic-energy release during the evaporation of sputtered Cs(CsI)n+ clusters.

TL;DR: Size and temporal (temperature) dependence of the average kinetic-energy release (KER) dependence is found to be in reasonable agreement with the predictions of the evaporative ensemble model, except for evaporation processes involving the cluster with magic number n=13.
Journal ArticleDOI

Kinetic energy release distribution and the mechanism for evaporation of one and two CsI molecules from sputtered Cs(CsI)n+ clusters

TL;DR: In this paper, the average kinetic energy release and peak shape constant were determined for the metastable peaks resulting from the evaporation of one and two CsI molecules from sputtered Cs(CsI) n + clusters.
Journal ArticleDOI

Unimolecular decomposition of sputtered cesium-cesium iodide (Cs(CsI)n+) clusters: stabilities and evaporation energetics

TL;DR: In this paper, the metastable decomposition of sputtered Cs(CsI){sub n}{sup +} clusters of 1 { <=} n {<=} 17 was investigated in two different time windows by use of a double-focusing sector field mass spectrometer (reversed geometry).
