Wheat phenology and yield under drought: A review
Marcos Vinicius Mansano Sarto,Jaqueline Rocha Wobeto Sarto,Leandro Rampim,Jean Sérgio Rosset,Doglas Bassegio,Poliana Ferreira da Costa,Adriano Mitio Inagaki +6 more
TL;DR: The purpose of this review was to characterize the wheat crop phenology under drought conditions, at different stages of crop growth, finding that the ability of the source (leaf) to use and translocate the assimilates to the grain is most severely affected, thus affecting the grain weight.
Journal ArticleDOI
Oilseed crop crambe as a source of renewable energy in Brazil
Doglas Bassegio,Maurício Dutra Zanotto,Reginaldo Ferreira Santos,Ivan Werncke,Patrícia Pereira Dias,Mateus Olivo +5 more
TL;DR: Crambe has a remarkable future as a source of renewable energy in Brazil as discussed by the authors and strategies to boost its cultivation, such as the identification of improved varieties and optimization of production system logistics, marketing and resource allocation, should be adopted.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fertilizer improves seed and oil yield of safflower under tropical conditions
Marinez Carpiski Sampaio,Reginaldo Ferreira Santos,Doglas Bassegio,Edmar Soares de Vasconselos,Marcelo de Almeida Silva,Deonir Secco,Tiago Roque Benetoli da Silva +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated safflower yield components, seed yield and oil content in two growing seasons (autumn and winter) under dryland conditions in Cascavel, PR, Brazil.
Journal ArticleDOI
Emissions and performance of a diesel engine affected by soybean, linseed, and crambe biodiesel
Danilo Leite,Reginaldo Ferreira Santos,Doglas Bassegio,Samuel Nelson Melegari de Souza,Deonir Secco,Flavio Gurgacz,Tiago Roque Benetoli da Silva +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the performance and emissions of a diesel engine for energy generation that operated with soybean, linseed, and crambe vegetal-oil-based fuels were tested in a 5-kVA generator engine at a load from 750 to 3000
Journal ArticleDOI
Electric energy micro-production in a rural property using biogas as primary source
Samuel Nelson Melegari de Souza,Ivan Werncke,Cleber Aimoni Marques,Reinaldo Aparecido Bariccatti,Reginaldo Ferreira Santos,Carlos Eduardo Camargo Nogueira,Doglas Bassegio +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the feasibility of electricity production from biogas, even without receiving carbon credits, and showed that the average specific consumption of biogases in the engine-generator set was 0.68m 3 ǫ −1 and its efficiency was 22.21% with an average of 4672 housed animals.
