Toward Electronic Conductance Characterization of DNA Nucleotide Bases

TL;DR: The quantum mechanical calculations show that single configurations of DNA bases A, C, T, and G have significantly different charge conductance characteristics, consistent with the notion that it is possible to read the nucleotide base sequence on an individual DNA heteropolymer which is moving through a gap between electrically biased nanoelectrodes by measuring the changes in the electron-transport conductance.
Journal ArticleDOI

Computational Prediction of Ubiquitination Proteins Using Evolutionary Profiles and Functional Domain Annotation.

TL;DR: The first computational method for predicting ubiquitination proteins without relying on ubiquitinations site prediction has been developed and may guide experimental design and provide useful insights for studying the mechanisms and modulation of ubiquitinated pathways.
Journal ArticleDOI

A dual-targeted soybean protein is involved in Bradyrhizobium japonicum infection of soybean root hair and cortical cells.

TL;DR: The soybean gene GmNMNa that is specifically expressed during the infection of soybean cells by B. japonicum encodes a protein of unknown function that resulted in reduced nodulation, a reduction in the number of bacteroids per infected cell in the nodule, and a clear reduction inThe accumulation of poly-3-hydroxybutyrate in the bacteroids.
Journal ArticleDOI

Deep Learning Detection of Inaccurate Smart Electricity Meters: A Case Study

TL;DR: In this article, a novel deep learning method was developed based on LSTM and a modified convolutional neural network (CNN) to predict electricity usage trajectories based on historical data.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

A new clustering-based method for protein structure selection

TL;DR: A new clustering-based method for selecting near-native protein structures from a large number of candidate structural models and constructing a centroid for each cluster by applying multi-dimensional scale techniques.
