Titanium dioxide thin film-modified stainless steel mesh for enhanced current-generation in microbial fuel cells
TL;DR: In this paper, a TiO2 thin film-modified stainless steel mesh (SSM/TiO2-H) was prepared by an electrochemical method and applied as an anode in microbial fuel cells (MFCs) to enhance their power output.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comprehensive evaluation of environ-economic benefits of anaerobic digestion technology in an integrated food waste-based methane plant using a fuzzy mathematical model
TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated the environ-economic benefits of anaerobic digestion technology in an integrated food waste-based methane plant using a fuzzy mathematical model, and showed that the benefits of the technology can be quantified in terms of the environmental impact.
Journal ArticleDOI
A safety analysis of food waste-derived animal feeds from three typical conversion techniques in China
TL;DR: Food waste-derived feed could be considered an adequate alternative to be used in animal diets, while the feeding action should be changed with the different qualities of the products, such as restrictions on the application of ruminants, and recycling as formula feeds.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhancement of anodic biofilm formation and current output in microbial fuel cells by composite modification of stainless steel electrodes
Liang Yuxiang,Huajun Feng,Dongsheng Shen,Na Li,Kun Guo,Yuyang Zhou,Jing Xu,Wei Chen,Yufeng Jia,Bin Huang +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the performance of stainless steel electrodes (SS) modified by carbon coating (CC), polyaniline coating (PANI), neutral red grafting (NR), surface hydrophilization (SDBS), and heat treatment (HEAT) was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Patterns of heavy metal immobilization by MSW during the landfill process
TL;DR: In this article, a simulated landfill was established and operated for 507 days to explore the pattern of heavy metal immobilization by municipal solid waste (MSW) in the landfill process, and the results showed that 45.6 mg of Cu, 3.16 mg of Pb and 44.2 mg of Zn were immobilized by 25 kg of MSW during the whole landfill process.
