Journal ArticleDOI

Method for determination of methyl tert-butyl ether and its degradation products in water

TL;DR: In this paper, an analytical method is described that can detect the major alkyl ether compounds that are used as gasoline oxygenates (methyl tert-butyl ether, MTBE, ETBE, and tert-amyl methyl ether, TAME) in water at sub-ppb concentrations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Determination of (4-methylcyclohexyl)methanol isomers by heated purge-and-trap GC/MS in water samples from the 2014 Elk River, West Virginia, chemical spill

TL;DR: One isomer of methyl 4-methylcyclohexanecarboxylate was detected in all Ohio River and tap water samples, and both isomers were detected in the source material spilled, indicating some persistence of 4-MCHM within the water distribution system.
ReportDOI

Methods of analysis by the U.S. Geological Survey National Water Quality Laboratory : determination of gasoline oxygenates, selected degradates, and BTEX in water by heated purge and trap/gas chromatography/mass spectrometry

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose a method to solve the problem of homonymity in homonym identification, i.e., homonymization, in the context of homology.
OtherDOI

Determination of heat purgeable and ambient purgeable volatile organic compounds in water by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose a solution to solve the problem of the problem: this paper...,.. ].. ).. )... ;.
