Journal ArticleDOI
A library of TAL effector nucleases spanning the human genome
Yongsub Kim,Jiyeon Kweon,Annie Kim,Jae Kyung Chon,Ji Yeon Yoo,Hye Joo Kim,Sojung Kim,C.-K. Lee,Euihwan Jeong,Eugene Chung,Doyoung Kim,Mi Seon Lee,Eun Mi Go,Hye Jung Song,Hwangbeom Kim,Namjin Cho,Duhee Bang,Seokjoong Kim,Jin-Soo Kim +18 more
TL;DR: A genome-scale collection of TALENs for efficient and scalable gene targeting in human cells is presented and single- and double-gene-knockout cells in which NF-κB signaling pathways were disrupted showed unambiguous suppression of signal transduction.
Journal ArticleDOI
N-acetylcysteine prevents LPS-induced pro-inflammatory cytokines and MMP2 production in gingival fibroblasts
Doyoung Kim,Ji-Hae Jun,Hye-Lim Lee,Kyung Mi Woo,Hyun-Mo Ryoo,Gwan-Shik Kim,Jeong-Hwa Baek,Soo-Boo Han +7 more
TL;DR: Results indicate that NAC exerts anti-inflammatory effects in LPS-stimulated gingival fibroblasts, functioning at least in part via down-regulation of JNK and p38 MAPK activation, and suggests that antioxidants may be useful in adjunctive therapies that complement conventional periodontal treatments.
Journal ArticleDOI
The efficacy of a double-layer collagen membrane technique for overlaying block grafts in a rabbit calvarium model
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the collagen membrane used here can reduce graft bone resorption and the double-layer technique using non-cross-linked collagen membranes (BioGide((R))) can enhance the efficacy of the onlay block bone graft technique in terms of both bone res orption and augmentation compared with a single-layer collagen membrane.

Journal ArticleDOI
Enantioselective Synthesis of Chiral α-Azido and α-Aryloxy Quaternary Stereogenic Centers via the Phase-Transfer-Catalyzed α-Alkylation of α-Bromomalonates, Followed by SN2 Substitution
Doyoung Kim,Min Woo Ha,Suckchang Hong,Cheonhyoung Park,Byung Soo Kim,Jewon Yang,Hyeung-geun Park +6 more
TL;DR: A new efficient synthetic method for chiral α-azido-α-alkylmalonates and α-aryloxy- α-alkymonates was developed.
