Synthesis and optical properties of ZnO and ZnO/PEO nanonsructured powders
TL;DR: In this article, microwave processing of nanostructured ZnO powder and preparation of PEO composite were described, where the role of microwave processing was to modify the crystal structure of zinc oxide and PEO was to sensitize surface of ZnOs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nanocomposite Materials Prepared by Using Quantum Dots as Building Blocks
TL;DR: In this article, two synthetic procedures for preparation of composite materials using semiconductor quantum dots as building blocks have been developed, and the resulting powders preserved optical and photocatalytic properties of their constituent elements.

Chak Yin Tang,Nenad Ignjatović,Dragan Uskoković,Petar S. Uskoković,Kang Cheung Chan,Samuel Chun-Lap Lo,Tai Chiu Lee +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a biphasic calcium-phosphate (BCP) and poly-L-lactide (PLLA) biocomposite implant material was obtained by mixing completely dissolved PLLA with granules of high crystalline BCP and was compacted by hot pressing using cylindrical dies at 450 K temperature and 98.1 MPa pressure.
