Journal ArticleDOI

Production of actinides and the search for super-heavy elements using secondary reactions induced by GeV protons

TL;DR: A search for actinide and super-heavy elements produced by means of secondary reactions during the irradiation of tungsten and uranium targets with 12 and 28 GeV protons has been made as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Production of actinide elements using secondary reactions induced by 19 GeV electrons

TL;DR: In this paper, the cumulative yields of actinide elements produced by secondary reactions have been measured in a uranium target following 19 GeV electron irradiation, the heaviest being 248 Cf, made by alpha spectroscopy of chemically separated fractions.
