Ne II 12.8 micron emission from the galactic center. II
TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the dynamics of the ionized gas is dominated by the gravitational potential of the massive core at the galactic center and that the total mass within a radius of 1 pc about the galactic centre is estimated to be of the order of 4 million solar masses.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spectral and spatial resolution of the 12.8 micron Ne II emission from the galactic center.
TL;DR: In this article, high-resolution spectra of the Ne II 12.8 micron fine-structure line in emission from the galactic center cloud Sgr A West show a line-center LSR radial velocity of + 75 + or - 20 km/sec.
Journal ArticleDOI
Observations of carbon monoxide in cool stars at 4.7 microns.
Journal ArticleDOI
Observations and analysis of the Jovian spectrum in the 10-micron nu-2 band of NH3
John H. Lacy,A. I. Larrabee,E. R. Wollman,Thomas R. Geballe,Charles H. Townes,J. D. Bregman,D. M. Rank +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the nu-2 band of NH3 in the Jovian atmosphere has been observed at resolutions varying from 4 per cm to 0.15 per cm, and the observations have been interpreted by computation of synthetic atmospheric spectra.
