Recognition of multiple patterns in unaligned sets of sequences: comparison of kernel clustering method with other methods

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors developed a method for analysis of unaligned sets of sequences based on kernel estimation, which is able to reveal'multiple local patterns' -a set of weight matrices.
Proceedings Article

ClusterScan: A Tool for Automatic Annotation of Genomic Regulatory Sequences by Searching for Composite Clusters.

TL;DR: A software system "ClusterScan" and decision tree system were constructed to classify promoters of several functionally related gene groups to identify functionally coupled transcription factors and computationally predict their possible function.
Journal Article

The Second Workshop on Ontology and Genome

TL;DR: This paper presents a meta-anatomy of the immune system using a probabilistic approach and shows the importance of knowing the immune status of a person’s immune system as a source of infection.
Journal ArticleDOI

Book ChapterDOI

Application of kernel method to reveal subtypes of TF binding motifs

TL;DR: In this paper, a sensitive method based on kernel estimations that is able to reveal subtypes of TF binding sites was developed. But the kernel method showed the best performance in terms of how close the revealed weight matrices are to the original ones.
