Journal ArticleDOI

Simple endovascular thoracic aortic stenting rescues a wrongly deployed frozen elephant trunk during a modified procedure.

TL;DR: In this article, a modified frozen elephant trunk stent graft was deployed in the false lumen, probably through a re-entry tear at the descending thoracic aorta.
Journal ArticleDOI

Two different cases of postoperative symptomatic common carotid artery involvment in type A aortic dissection

TL;DR: Two cases with neurological deficits after replacement of the ascending aorta for a type A dissection treated with two different surgical strategies are presented and prompt surgical interventions improved neurological outcome.
Journal ArticleDOI

Renal failure: a non-cardiac source of high sensitivity cardiac troponin T

TL;DR: It is suggested that end-stage renal disease (ESRD) is a non-cardiac source of elevated circulating hs-cTnT concentrations, which contributes about 50%, while the other 50% seem related to chronic cardiomyocyte injury.
Posted ContentDOI

Temporary extracorporeal femoro-femoral crossover bypass to treat acute limb ischemia due to occlusive femoral transaortic microaxial left ventricular assist device - A novel technique and case series.

TL;DR: This is the first case series reporting on a novel technique of limb salvage in patients with severe limb ischemia due to an MLVAD and demonstrates that the percutaneous creation of an extracorporeal crossover bypass is feasible, safe and effective and should therefore be promoted.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Novel Percutaneous Technique for Aorto-Iliac Thrombectomy without the Risk of Embolization

TL;DR: In this article , the authors proposed a percutaneous endovascular thrombectomy of the aorta and iliac arteries through an incision in the groin vessels.
