TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a method that involves alternatively compressing combustion air by using a compressor (10) of an exhaust gas turbocharger (14) guided over a bypassing channel (18) bypassing the compressor.
Abstract: The method involves alternatively compressing combustion air (10) by using a compressor (14) of an exhaust gas turbocharger The air is guided over a bypassing channel (18) bypassing the compressor Combustion air downstream and upstream are connected to an outlet of the compressor and a discharge of the channel (18) respectively by using a flow channel (12) The channel (18) is opened for preset time duration in a no-load operation during a load requirement of an internal-combustion engine The preset time interval is selected such that speed of the turbocharger achieves a preset value

TL;DR: In this article, a working cylinder with a specific motor torque greater than 150 Newton meter and geometric compression ratio smaller than 17:1 was designed in such a way that compression outlet temperature is smaller than 727 degrees Celsius in nominal horsepower.
Abstract: The engine has a working cylinder, where charging pressure in the working cylinder in nominal torque and/or nominal horsepower is absolutely greater than 2.5 bar. The working cylinder has point pressure smaller than 200 bars and specific power greater than 60 kilowatt. The working cylinder has a specific motor torque greater than 150 Newton meter and geometric compression ratio smaller than 17:1. The engine is designed in such a manner that compression outlet temperature is smaller than 727 degrees Celsius in nominal horsepower. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle comprising an internal combustion engine with nitrogen oxide pretreatment emissions.
