Effects of Moderate Exercise on the Biochemical, Physiological, Morphological and Functional Parameters of the Aorta in the Presence of Estrogen Deprivation and Dyslipidemia: an Experimental Model
Claudia Marchon,Elisabete de Marco Ornelas,Katia Aparecida da Silva Viegas,Silvia Lacchini,Romeu Rodrigues de Souza,Fernando Luiz Affonso Fonseca,Laura Beatriz Mesiano Maifrino +6 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that physical training contributed to reducing vessel rigidity and to improvements in vascular compliance, with the increase in volume density of elastic lamellae in the estrogen-deprived groups who had normal cholesterol levels.
Journal ArticleDOI
Morphological and Biochemical Effects on the Skeletal Muscle of Ovariectomized Old Female Rats Submitted to the Intake of Diets with Vegetable or Animal Protein and Resistance Training
Glaucia Figueiredo Braggion,Elisabete de Marco Ornelas,Jurema Carmona Sattin Cury,Natália Edviges Alves Lima,Rita de Cássia de Aquino,Fernando Luiz Affonso Fonseca,Laura Beatriz Mesiano Maifrino +6 more
TL;DR: The data suggest a tendency to better results of hypertrophy in animal groups that consumed the AP diet, even the sedentary animals, although more evident in those trained.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of different exercise intensities on the pancreas of animals with metabolic syndrome.
Fernanda Amaral,Nathalia E.A.Lima,Elisabete de Marco Ornelas,Lucila Simardi,Fernando Luiz Affonso Fonseca,Laura Beatriz Mesiano Maifrino +5 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that the experimental model with low-intensity exercise (walking) seems to be more particularly recommended for preventing morphological and metabolic disorders occurring in the MS.
Journal ArticleDOI
Obesidade infantil e fatores de risco cardiovasculares
TL;DR: Resumen pt: Introducao: A obesidade e uma doenca de prevalencia crescente e que, atualmente, assume carater epidemiologico como principal problema de saude publica n...
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of Physical Training on the Myocardium of Oxariectomized LDLr Knockout Mice: MMP 2/9, Collagen I/III, Inflammation and Oxidative Stress
Ledimar Brianezi,Elisabete de Marco Ornelas,Flávia de Sousa Gehrke,Fernando Luiz Affonso Fonseca,Beatriz da Costa Aguiar Alves,Luiz Vinicius de Alcantara Sousa,Jessica Souza,Laura Beatriz Mesiano Maifrino +7 more
TL;DR: The results showed that the proposed exercise protocol altered the volume of type I collagen fibers, altered collagen remodeling parameters (MMP-2), and also reduced the 8-hydroxy-2’-deoxyguanosine (8OHdG) oxidative stress parameter.
