The evolution of crystalline ordering for ligand-ornamented zinc oxide nanoparticles
Mirijam Zobel,Anna Windmüller,Anna Windmüller,Ella M. Schmidt,Klaus Götz,Theodor Milek,Dirk Zahn,Simon A. J. Kimber,Jessica M. Hudspeth,Jessica M. Hudspeth,Reinhard B. Neder +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors follow the crystallization of ZnO nanoparticles in ethanol in the presence of different organic ligands and show that low coordinated zinc precursor clusters rapidly polymerize upon base addition to particles of ca. 1 nm in diameter.
Journal ArticleDOI
Diffuse single-crystal scattering corrected for molecular form factor effects.
TL;DR: This paper shows that chemical short-range order in two-component molecular crystals can be solved directly by separating the influence of the molecular form factor from the diffraction pattern.
Journal ArticleDOI
Crystal-structure of active layers of small molecule organic photovoltaics before and after solvent vapor annealing
Marvin Berlinghof,Stefan Langner,Christina Harreiß,Ella M. Schmidt,Rita Siris,Florian Bertram,Chen Shen,Johannes Will,Torben Schindler,Annemarie Prihoda,Stefanie Rechberger,Georg S. Duesberg,Reinhard B. Neder,Erdmann Spiecker,Christoph J. Brabec,Tobias Unruh +15 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a detailed structural analysis of small molecule-based organic photovoltaics can be performed using solvent vapor annealing (SVA) for tuning the crystallinity and the efficiency of small molecules.
Journal ArticleDOI
Truchet-tile structure of a topologically aperiodic metal–organic framework
Emily G. Meekel,Ella M. Schmidt,Lisa J. Cameron,A. David Dharma,Hunter J. Windsor,Samuel G. Duyker,Arianna Minelli,Tom Pope,Giovanni Orazio Lepore,Ben Slater,Cameron J. Kepert,Andrew L. Goodwin +11 more
TL;DR: The TRUMOF-1 as discussed by the authors is an atomic-scale realization of a complex three-dimensional Truchet tiling, which is used for storing data in barcodes and QR codes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Unimodular lattice triangulations as small-world and scale-free random graphs
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors interpret lattice triangulations as planar graphs by identifying triangulation vertices with graph nodes and one-dimensional simplices with edges, applying different Monte Carlo simulations enables them to calculate average properties of random triangures, as well as canonical ensemble averages, using an energy functional that is approximately the variance of the degree distribution.
