Journal ArticleDOI
Gamma irradiation effects on poly(hydroxybutyrate)
TL;DR: In this article, the viscosity-average molar mass (M v ) was analyzed using an Ostwald-type viscometer, reflecting the scissions that occurred at random in the main chain.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and morphological characterization of PMMA/polyaniline nanofiber composites
Patricia Lopes Barros de Araujo,Elmo S. Araujo,Renata Francisca da Silva Santos,A. P. L. Pacheco +3 more
TL;DR: Poly (methyl methacrylate/Polyaniline nanofibers composite films were prepared by solution casting and Sodium dodecyl sulfate was added to the organic phase in order to verify possible modification the morphology the nanostrucutures when compared with previous reports.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of gamma-irradiation on some properties of durolon polycarbonate
TL;DR: In this article, the main chain scissions were calculated for the dose range of 10-200 kGy through the viscometry method, and the results showed that the mechanical properties were not affected significantly up to a dose of 100 kGy, indicating that medical supplies made of Durolon can withstand four sterilization irradiations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Polyaniline/poly acid acrylic thin film composites: a new gamma radiation detector
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented a new and straightforward route to prepare polyaniline/poly acid acrylic (PAA) thin film composites in large areas and on almost any surface.
Journal ArticleDOI
The stress cracking behaviour of poly(methyl methacrylate) after exposure to gamma radiation
TL;DR: In this article, injection molded bars of poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) were exposed to gamma radiation to different doses and tested for mechanical properties and molecular weight.
