Vibration-based methods for structural and machinery fault diagnosis based on nonlinear dynamics tools

TL;DR: In this paper, the use of nonlinear-dynamics-based procedures for the purposes of structural health monitoring as well as for monitoring of robot joints is described and explained.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hemodynamics and wall mechanics of a compliance matching stent: in vitro and in vivo analysis.

TL;DR: The results indicate that the stent/artery hybrid structure can be compliance matched with proper stent design and that this structure limits solid mechanical stress and hemodynamic disturbances.
Journal ArticleDOI

Coupled, thermoelastic, large amplitude vibrations of Timoshenko beams

TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed accurate and time efficient numerical approaches to study geometrically nonlinear vibrations of moderately thick beams under the combined action of mechanical and thermal loads.
Journal ArticleDOI

A model of stress-induced geometrical remodeling of vessel segments adjacent to stents and artery/graft anastomoses.

TL;DR: A mathematical model for stress-induced thickening of the arterial wall at the zones close to an implanted stent or graft shows that the remodeling process is self-limiting and leads to local thickening that gradually decreases with distance from the edge of the stent/graft.
