Grid-enabled Virtual Screening Against Malaria
N. Jacq,J. Salzemann,F. Jacq,Yannick Legré,Emmanuel Medernach,Johan Montagnat,Astrid Maaß,M. Reichstadt,Horst Schwichtenberg,Mahendrakar Sridhar,Vinod Kasam,Marc Zimmermann,Martin Hofmann,Vincent Breton +13 more
TL;DR: The first attempt to deploy large scale in silico docking on a public Grid infrastructure for protein–ligand docking demonstrated how Grid infrastructures have a tremendous capacity to mobilize very large CPU resources for well targeted goals during a significant period of time.

Workload analysis of a cluster in a grid environment
TL;DR: In this paper, the analysis of the LPC cluster usage (Clermont-Ferrand, France) in the EGEE Grid environment is done, and from the results a model for job arrival is proposed.

Virtual screening on large scale grids
Nicolas Jacq,Vincent Breton,Hsin-Yen Chen,Li-Yung Ho,Martin Hofmann,Vinod Kasam,Hurng-Chun Lee,Yannick Legré,Simon Lin,Astrid Maaí,Emmanuel Medernach,Ivan Merelli,Luciano Milanesi,Giulio Rastelli,Matthieu Reichstadt,Jean Salzemann,Horst Schwichtenberg,Ying-Ta Wu,Marc Zimmermann +18 more
TL;DR: This work has demonstrated the relevance of large scale grids for the virtual screening by molecular docking within the framework of the WISDOM initiative against malaria and avian influenza requiring about 100 years of CPU on the EGEE, Auvergrid and TWGrid infrastructures.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fair resource allocation for different scenarios of demands
TL;DR: This paper considers a resource allocation problem, which objective is to treat fairly all the system users, and problems of fair resource sharing arise among users with equal access right but with different needs.
