In Vivo and In Vitro Antimicrobial Activity of Biogenic Silver Nanoparticles against Staphylococcus aureus Clinical Isolates
N. Attallah,Engy Elekhnawy,Walaa A. Negm,Ismail A. Hussein,Fatma Alzahraa Mokhtar,Omnia M Al-Fakhrany +5 more
TL;DR: Gardenia thailandica leaf extract could be a vital source for the production of AgNPs, which exhibited promising in vivo and in vitro antibacterial activity against S. aureus bacteria.
Journal ArticleDOI
Elucidation of Phytochemical Content of Cupressus macrocarpa Leaves: In Vitro and In Vivo Antibacterial Effect against Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus Clinical Isolates.
Nashwah G. M. Attallah,Walaa A. Negm,Engy Elekhnawy,Elshaymaa I. Elmongy,Najla Altwaijry,Hala El-Haroun,Thanaa A. El-Masry,Suzy A. El-Sherbeni +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the phytochemical profiling of Cupressus macrocarpa Hartw. ex Gordon leaves in vitro, and in vivo, antimicrobial potential of its extracts against MRSA clinical isolates were explored.
Journal ArticleDOI
Impact of triclosan adaptation on membrane properties, efflux and antimicrobial resistance of Escherichia coli clinical isolates
TL;DR: The effect of step‐wise exposure of Escherichia coli isolates to sublethal concentrations of triclosan (TCS) that is widely used as an antiseptic, preservative and disinfectant is analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antidiarrheal and Antibacterial Activities of Monterey Cypress Phytochemicals: In Vivo and In Vitro Approach
Elshaymaa I. Elmongy,Walaa A. Negm,Engy Elekhnawy,Thanaa A. El-Masry,N. Attallah,Najla Altwaijry,Gaber El-Saber Batiha,S. El-Sherbeni +7 more
TL;DR: The antidiarrheal activity of CRME was investigated by induction of diarrhea using castor oil, and exhibited a significant reduction in diarrhea and defecation frequency at all doses, enteropooling, and gastrointestinal motility in mice, suggesting it could be a promising source for treatment of gastrointestinal tract diseases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Histological assessment, anti-quorum sensing, and anti-biofilm activities of Dioon spinulosum extract: in vitro and in vivo approach
Engy Elekhnawy,Walaa A. Negm,Mona El-Aasr,A. A. Kamer,Mohammed H. Alqarni,Gaber El-Saber Batiha,Ahmad J. Obaidullah,H. Fawzy +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the anti-biofilm and anti-quorum sensing activities of Dioon spinulosum, Dyer Ex Eichler extract (DSE), against Pseudomonas aeruginosa clinical isolates were investigated.
