TL;DR: Investigation of policy instruments and mechanisms that promote the dissemination of three Italian national programmes and the contribution of intermediaries in enabling these mechanisms within the specific context of Italian micro- and small-sized enterprises shows that some mechanisms are irrelevant and other mechanisms are better aligned with the role of intermediary in the Italian context.
