La construcción del personaje

La supuesta ilusion causada por el fin de lo nuevo en el arte va unida a una
nueva promesa de incorporar el arte a la vida. Los artistas y teoricos desean mostrarse
realmente vivos y reales en oposicion a las construcciones historicas abstractas y muertas
representadas por el sistema de museos y por el mercado del arte. Pero, ?cuando y en que
condiciones el arte parece como si estuviera vivo y no como si estuviera muerto? El
presente articulo trata de demostrar como es la propia logica interna de la coleccion en los
museos, la que obliga a los artistas a introducirse en la "realidad, en la vida" y a hacer que
el arte parezca como si estuviera vivo. A su vez, se intentara patentizar que "estar vivo"
significa, de hecho, ni mas ni menos que ser nuevo. El museo como constructor de
representacion historica unicamente reconoce lo nuevo como aquello real, presente y vivo,
y por ello precisamente solo dentro de el sera posible la innovacion por cuanto permite
introducir una nueva diferencia entre las cosas.

Los héroes cansados: el alcance de la desorientación del intelectual clásico en la web

There is a general feeling of the end of the classical intellectual. At the same time there are new less restrictive opinion forums on the Internet. There is a suspicious reaction lambasting these new voices. On the opposite side, we can analyze how the digital intellectual can defend themselves against the dangers which threatened their autonomy. In this task, to draw the profile of the new intellectual, I propose a reading of Gombrowicz's reflection on the ways of culture and its display.

In The Dehumanization of Art and Ideas on the Novel, Ortega omits references to specific artists and movements because he does not intend the book as a treatise on art theory (as understood in certain disciplines) but as an appendix to The Theme of our Time (and Meditation on Quixote) that takes a metaphysical route.

On the basis of the counterweight that Ortega finds in the contradictory life of Goethe, he proposes a new definition of biography: a triple connection between circumstance, vocation and chance. Ortega y Gasset introduces biography into his philosophical proposal: from his ontology, as drama, as literary genre, with a certain connotation of construction (which must later be decipherred). His idea of biography is intended to be a more daring proposal than Idealism’s idea of being, because it includes the environment within the self. As Aranguren wrote: it is like an ethic of being within a metaphysics of our life, which Ortega conceives as a task.

The first studies in Philosophy that studied digital technology did not specify the characteristics of its various technical applications or instruments. They looked at the virtual reality and used the metaphor of immersion to study the set of all technological developments, as had been done before with the novel.
