Journal ArticleDOI
A pilot study for retrospective evaluation of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) rehabilitation of municipal gravity sewers
Erez N. Allouche,Shaurav Alam,Jadranka Simicevic,Ray Sterling,Wendy Condit,John C. Matthews,Ariamalar Selvakumar +6 more
TL;DR: Overall, it is concluded that there is no reason to anticipate that the liners evaluated in this pilot study will not last for their intended lifetime of 50 years and perhaps well beyond.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of the bactericidal characteristics of nano-copper oxide or functionalized zeolite coating for bio-corrosion control in concrete sewer pipes
TL;DR: In this article, the bactericidal characteristics of nano-copper oxide or functionalized zeolite coated concrete pipes against acidithiobacillus thiooxidans were studied by measuring the temporal variation of bacterial dry cell weight measurement, cellular Adenosine Triphosphate production, as well as oxygen uptake rate of the aforementioned bacterium.
Encouraging Innovation in Locating and Characterizing Underground Utilities
Ray Sterling,James H Anspach,Erez N. Allouche,Jadranka Simicevic,Christopher D. F. Rogers,Karla E Weston,K Hayes +6 more
TL;DR: The findings of the first two phases of the Strategic Highway Research Program 2 (SHRP 2) Project R01: Encouraging Innovation in Locating and Characterizing Underground Utilities are presented in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of the potential of geopolymer mortar in the rehabilitation of buried infrastructure
C. Montes,Erez N. Allouche +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the development and testing of three novel geopolymer mix designs prepared using metakaolin and fly ash (class C and F) precursors were described and compared for comparison purposes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of the resistance of mortars coated with silver bearing zeolite to bacterial-induced corrosion
TL;DR: In this article, an evaluation of the resistance of mortar specimens coated with silver bearing zeolite to biologically produced sulphate and their antimicrobial characteristics was carried out in this study using Acidothiobacillus thiooxidans.
