The Adaptation of Plankton Algae
TL;DR: The various aspects of the adaptation of plankton algae lo light and temperature are discussed and the shape of a light intensity-photosynthesis curve is shown to be an important means of describing the physiological adjustment of an algal population.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Adaptation of Plankton Algae. II. Aspects of the Temperature Adaptation of Skeletonema costatum
Journal ArticleDOI
Antibiotic Substances from Cells and Culture Solutions of Unicellular Algae with Special Reference to some Chlorophyll Derivatives
Journal ArticleDOI
Photosynthetic Activity during the Life Cycle of Synchronous Skeletonema Cells
TL;DR: A culture of Skeletonema costatum grown at a light intensity of 3 klux and at 20°C was synchronized in diurnally intermittent illumination of 12 hour light and 12 hour dark and showed a rhythmical variation in photosynthetic activity.
