TL;DR: Serine hydroxymethyltransferase derived from recombinant E. coli was found to be able to catalyze the condensation between glycine and 4-pentenaldehyde, affording enantiopure l -erythro-2-amino-3-hydroxy-6-heptenoic acid (AHHA) in high yield and throughput.
Journal ArticleDOI
The adamantyl carbonium ion as a dehydrogenating agent, its reactions with estrone
W.H.W. Lunn,Eugene Farkas +1 more
TL;DR: An unusual and useful dehydrogenation of estrone of Δ9(11)-estrone has been observed on its reaction with the adamantyl carbonium ion.
