Journal ArticleDOI
New shape isomer in the self-conjugate nucleus 72Kr.
E. Bouchez,I. Matea,W. Korten,F. Becker,B. Blank,C. Borcea,A. Buta,A. Emsallem,J. Genevey,F. Hannachi,K. Hauschild,A. Hürstel,Y. Le Coz,M. Lewitowicz,R. Lucas,F. Negoita,F. de Oliveira Santos,D. Pantelica,J. Pinston,Panu Rahkila,M. Rejmund,M. Stanoiu,Ch. Theisen +22 more
TL;DR: The new 0(+) state is understood as the band head of the known prolate rotational structure, which strongly supports the interpretation that 72Kr is one of the rare nuclei having an oblate-deformed ground state.
Journal ArticleDOI
Excitation Energies and Spins of a Superdeformed Band in 194 Hg from One-Step Discrete Decays to the Yrast Line
T. L. Khoo,M. P. Carpenter,T. Lauritsen,Dieter Ackermann,I. Ahmad,D. J. Blumenthal,S. M. Fischer,R. V. F. Janssens,D. T. Nisius,E. F. Moore,A. Lopez-Martens,Thomas Døssing,R. Kruecken,S. J. Asztalos,J. A. Becker,L. A. Bernstein,R. M. Clark,M. A. Deleplanque,R. M. Diamond,P. Fallon,L. P. Farris,F. Hannachi,E. A. Henry,A. Korichi,I. Y. Lee,A. O. Macchiavelli,F. S. Stephens +26 more
TL;DR: The excitation energies and spins of all members of the lowest SD band are established for the first time, together with their likely parity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Calibration of the new composite ``clover'' detector as a Compton polarimeter for the EUROGAM array
P.M. Jones,L. Wei,F.A. Beck,P. A. Butler,Th. Byrski,G. Duchêne,F. Hannachi,F. Hannachi,G. D. Jones,B. Kharraja +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a composite Ge detector for the measurement of the linear polarisation of γ-rays has been investigated, and the polarisation sensitivity of this device has been determined over the energy range 197-1368 keV.
Journal ArticleDOI
E1 and E2 S factors of C-12(alpha,gamma(0))O-16 from gamma-ray angular distributions with a 4 pi-detector array
Marlete Assunção,M. Fey,A. Lefebvre-Schuhl,J. Kiener,Vincent Tatischeff,J. W. Hammer,C. Beck,C. Boukari-Pelissie,A. Coc,J.J. Correia,S. Courtin,F. Fleurot,E. Galanopoulos,C. Grama,F. Haas,F. Hammache,F. Hannachi,Sotirios Harissopulos,A. Korichi,R. Kunz,D. Ledu,A. Lopez-Martens,D. Malcherek,R. Meunier,T. Paradellis,Marc Rousseau,Neil Rowley,G. Staudt,Suzana Szilner,J. P. Thibaud,J.L. Weil +30 more
TL;DR: A new experiment to determine the thermonuclear cross section of the C-12(alpha,gamma)O-16 reaction has been performed in regular kinematics using an intense alpha-particle beam of up to 340 mu A from the Stuttgart DYNAMITRON as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Single step links of the superdeformed band in Pb-194 : A measure of the absolute excitation energy, spin and parity of the superdeformed states
A. Lopez-Martens,F. Hannachi,A. Korichi,C. Schück,E. Gueorguieva,Ch. Vieu,B. Haas,R. Lucas,A. Astier,G. Baldsiefen,M. P. Carpenter,R. Duffait,Laurent Ducroux,Y. Le Coz,C Finck,Andreas Görgen,H. Hübel,T. L. Khoo,T. Lauritsen,M. Meyer,D. Prévost,N. Redon,C. Rigollet,H. Savajols,J.F. Sharpey-Schafer,O. Stezowski,Ch. Theisen,U. J. van Severen,J.P. Vivien,Anna Wilson +29 more
TL;DR: In this article, the decay of the superdeformed (SD) band in 194 Pb was investigated and the most probable spins and parities of all members of the SD band were also deduced assuming that the SD states have even spin and positive parity.
