Residual stress determination in cold drawn steel wire by FEM simulation and X-ray diffraction

TL;DR: In this paper, a study on residual stress in cold drawn wire of low carbon steel by means of finite element method (FEM) simulation and X-ray diffraction is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Strain rate effect in high-speed wire drawing process

TL;DR: In this paper, a study on the strain rate effect during high-speed wire drawing process by means of finite element simulation is presented, based on the quasistatic stresses obtained by normal tensile tests and dynamic stresses at high strain rates by split Hopkinson pressure bar tests.
Journal ArticleDOI

Residual Stress Determination in Cold Drawn Steel Wire by FEM Simulation and X-Ray Diffraction

TL;DR: In this article, a study of residual stress in cold drawn wires of low carbon steel by means of FEM simulation and X-ray diffraction was presented, where a texture based anisotropic yield locus was incorporated into the model to take the plastic anisotropy into account.
