Synthesis and characterization of poly (vinyl alcohol) hydrogels and hybrids for rMPB70 protein adsorption
Elizabeth Fonseca dos Reis,F.S. Campos,Andrey Pereira Lage,Rômulo Cerqueira Leite,Luiz Guilherme Dias Heneine,Wander L. Vasconcelos,Zélia Inês Portela Lobato,Herman S. Mansur +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) spectra of PVA hydrogel samples showed the absorption regions of the specific chemical groups associated with poly(vinyl alcohol) (-OH, -CO, -CH2) and PVA/GA confirming the formation of crosslinked hydrogels (duplet -CH).
Journal ArticleDOI
Wild canids, domestic dogs and their pathogens in Southeast Brazil: disease threats for canid conservation.
Nelson Henrique de Almeida Curi,Amanda Soriano Araújo,F.S. Campos,Zélia Inês Portela Lobato,Solange Maria Gennari,Maria Fernanda Vianna Marvulo,Jean Carlos Ramos Silva,Sônia A. Talamoni +7 more
TL;DR: Maned wolves are more exposed to helminths than crab-eating foxes, with a higher prevalence of Trichuridae and Ancylostomidae in the area, and exposure to canine coronavirus is reported for the first time.
Journal ArticleDOI
Epizootic hemorrhagic disease in brocket deer, Brazil.
Cíntia Maria Favero,Ana Carolina Diniz Matos,F.S. Campos,Marcus Vinícius Cândido,Érica Azevedo Costa,Marcos Bryan Heinemann,Edel Figueiredo Barbosa-Stancioli,Zélia Inês Portela Lobato +7 more
TL;DR: To identify the suspected disease agent (members of the species Bluetongue virus or Epizootic hemorrhagic disease virus) and confirm the EHDV serogroup, virus isolation and reverse transcription PCR on tissues (heart, liver, lung, and bowel) from the pygmy brocket deer were performed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pellegrin,Edel Figueiredo Barbosa-Stancioli +13 more
TL;DR: The favorable environmental conditions to development of BTV vectors, and the bovine reproductive disorders reported by farmers may indicate that BTV infection occurrs in herds of Brazilian Pantanal, and probably induces to economical losses.
Journal ArticleDOI
Distribution of antibodies against porcine circovirus type-2 (PCV2) in single site and multi-site farrow-to-finish farms in Brazil.
Priscilla F. Gerber,Grazielle Cossenzo Florentino Galinari,Marcos Xavier Silva,F.S. Campos,Adrienny Trindade Reis,Zélia Inês Portela Lobato +5 more
TL;DR: Seroconversion following the decline in maternal antibodies occurred at a later stage on SS farms (grower pigs) than MS farms (nursery pigs), and MS farms tended to have lower antibody titers than SS farms in the categories of sow, piglet, and nursery, while higher antibodies were found in grower pigs.
