Traceless Thioacid-Mediated Radical Cyclization of 1,6-Dienes.
Dylan Lynch,Mark D. Nolan,Leendert van Dalsen,Fabrice Dénès,Cristina Trujillo,Eoin M. Scanlan +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the thioacid-mediated, 5-exo-trig cyclization of various 1,6-dienes, with high yields of up to 98%, was reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of Polysubstituted γ‐Butenolides via a Radical Pathway: Cyclization of α‐Bromo Aluminium Acetals and Comparison with the Cyclization of α‐Bromoesters at High Temperature.
Romain Bénéteau,Carole F. Despiau,Jean-Christophe Rouaud,Anne Boussonnière,Virginie Silvestre,Jacques Lebreton,Fabrice Dénès +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a four-step one-pot procedure involving generation of α-bromo aluminum acetals, their subsequent radical cyclization followed by oxidation of the resulting cyclic aluminium acetals and base-promoted double bond migration is developed to convert αbromoesters derived from propargylic alcohols to butenolides.
Journal ArticleDOI
Radical Mediated Hydroperfluoroalkylation of Unactivated Alkenes
TL;DR: In this article , the direct hydroperfluoroalkylation of a wide range of unactivated alkenes has been achieved at room temperature with readily available iodoperfluoralkanes using 4-tert-butylcatechol as a source of hydrogen atom and triethylborane.
