Human Aging Alters the Spatial Organization between CD34+ Hematopoietic Cells and Adipocytes in Bone Marrow
Alicia G. Aguilar-Navarro,Berenice Meza-León,Dita Gratzinger,Fany G. Juárez-Aguilar,Qing Chang,Olga Ornatsky,Hubert Tsui,Ricardo Esquivel-Gómez,Antonio Hernández-Ramírez,Stephanie Z. Xie,John E. Dick,John E. Dick,Eugenia Flores-Figueroa,Eugenia Flores-Figueroa +13 more
TL;DR: It is shown that BM adiposity increases with age, which correlates with increased density of maturing myeloid cells and CD34+ hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells (HSPCs) and an increased proportion of HSPCs adjacent to adipocytes, while NGFR+ bone marrow stromal cell (NGFR+ BMSC) density and distance to HspCs and vessels remained stable.
Journal ArticleDOI
"Human, mouse and dog bone marrow show similar mesenchymal stromal cells within a distinctive microenvironment".
Berenice Meza-León,Dita Gratzinger,Alicia G. Aguilar-Navarro,Fany G. Juárez-Aguilar,Vivienne I. Rebel,Emina Torlakovic,Emina Torlakovic,Louise E. Purton,Louise E. Purton,Elisa Dorantes-Acosta,Argelia Escobar-Sánchez,John E. Dick,Eugenia Flores-Figueroa,Eugenia Flores-Figueroa +13 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors conducted a systematic histopathological comparison of mouse, human, and dog BMSCs within their bone marrow architecture and microenvironment and found that mouse bone marrow had higher cellularity and megakaryocyte content.
Journal ArticleDOI
ODP553 Hypoglycemia after sleeve gastrectomy: a rare case of an insulinoma
Aldo Ferreira-Hermosillo,Miry Lobaton-Ginsberg,María del Pilar Sotelo-Gonzãlez,Claudia Ramírez-Rentería,Fany G. Juárez-Aguilar +4 more
TL;DR: In this article , a 43-year-old women was referred to the Obesity Clinic two years after Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) was performed, and the histopathological report described a well differentiated grade 2 neuroendocrine tumor with positive chromogranin and synaptophysin and Ki67 immunopositivity in 4% of the neoplastic cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Insulinoma after sleeve gastrectomy: A case report
Miry Lobaton-Ginsberg,Pilar Sotelo-González,Claudia Ramírez-Rentería,Fany G. Juárez-Aguilar,Aldo Ferreira-Hermosillo +4 more
TL;DR: Insulinoma after LSG is a rare condition, and clinicians must be aware of it, especially if the patient has hypoglycemic symptoms during the fasting state; thus, evaluation of insulin secretion is needed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Metastatic paraganglioma of the spine associated with autosomal dominant hereditary paraganglioma-pheochromocytoma syndrome
Luis Alfonso Castillejo-Adalid,Teódulo Valenzuela-Hernández,Fany G. Juárez-Aguilar,Emmanuel Moreno-Ortiz +3 more
TL;DR: A diagnosis of hereditary paraganglioma-pheochromocytoma syndrome (PGL/PCC) is strongly suspected in an individual with multiple, multifocal, recurrent, or early onset paragangslioma and/or a family history of paraganglerlioma as mentioned in this paper .
