Research and increase of expertise in arachno-entomology are urgently needed.

TL;DR: In this paper, the contents of international journals of parasitology dealing with broader topics inside this field show that rather a few papers appear with studies in the discipline of arachno-entomology.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nature helps: from research to products against blood-sucking arthropods

TL;DR: The present review shows in examples that very efficacious biocidal and repellent products were developed from extracts of the plants Vitex agnus castus, Azadirachta indica, and from others which produce etheric oils.
Journal ArticleDOI

Efficacy of neem seed extract shampoo on head lice of naturally infected humans in Egypt

TL;DR: The neem seed extract shampoo proved to be highly effective against all stages of head lice and showed no side effects, such as skin irritation, burning sensations, or red spots on the scalp, forehead or neck, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

The efficacy of neem seed extracts (Tre-san®, MiteStop®) on a broad spectrum of pests and parasites

TL;DR: Tests on skin compatibility proved that there are no skin irritations during or after use, however, some target species are less sensible (beetles, Triatoma stages, fly maggots), while the specimens of the other species cited above were successfully killed even at low concentrations of the extract.
Journal ArticleDOI

The effects of different plant extracts on nematodes
