An Adaptive Multi-Channel Assignment and Coordination Scheme for IEEE 802.11P/1609.4 in Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks
Akram A. Almohammedi,Nor Kamariah Noordin,Aduwati Sali,Fazirulhisyam Hashim,Mohammed Balfaqih +4 more
TL;DR: An adaptive multi-channel assignment and coordination (AMAC) scheme for the IEEE 802.11p/1609.4 in VANETs which exploits channel access scheduling and channel switching in a novel way and outperforms the legacy standard in terms of system throughput of service applications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Channel Coding Scheme for 5G Mobile Communication System for Short Length Message Transmission
TL;DR: The evaluation of different channel coding schemes on an AWGN channel with BPSK modulation shows that the systematic convolutional code is the optimum channel coding scheme in terms of better flexibility, low encoding computational latency, and higher reliability for the 5G mobile communication system for short length message transmission in machine-type communication.
Journal ArticleDOI
Efficient authentication and re-authentication protocols for 4G/5G heterogeneous networks
Kamal Ali Alezabi,Fazirulhisyam Hashim,Shaiful Jahari Hashim,Borhanuddin Mohd Ali,Abbas Jamalipour +4 more
TL;DR: This paper proposes authentication and re-authentication protocols for 4G wireless networks, in particular, LTE-Advanced, WLAN, and WiMAX-Advanced interworking architecture, and shows that the proposed protocols achieve better performance than standard and other protocols.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Robust 3D Indoor Positioning System Based on Radio Map Using Bayesian Network
TL;DR: A robust 3D indoor positioning system that is suitable for an indoor IoT application based on Bayesian network that depends on Wi-Fi signals strength and was experimentally tested in a building with pre-deployed access points (APs).
Journal ArticleDOI
Fair Energy-Efficient Resource Allocation for Downlink NOMA Heterogeneous Networks
TL;DR: Simulation results show that the proposed NOMA with optimal power allocation method using SCP and GA (NOMA-SCP-GA) achieves fair energy efficiency performance with lower complexity compared to the benchmark methods.
