Journal Article

Anti-inflammatory and antinociceptive activities of Lippia nodiflora Linn.

TL;DR: The methanolic extract of leaves of Lippia nodiflora Linn showed a significant anti-inflammatory activity comparable to phenylbutazone against carrageenin-induced paw edema in rats and a significant antinociceptive action comparable to diclofenac sodium in acetic acid induced writhing in white albino mice.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antinociceptive and sedative effects of the bark of Cerbera odollam Gaertn.

TL;DR: The crude methanolic extract of the bark of Cerbera odollam Gaertn showed a significant antinociceptive effect in acetic acid induced writhing in mice comparable to that produced by aspirin, used as standard drug.
Journal ArticleDOI

Flavonoids from Sonneratia caseolaris

TL;DR: The extract of S. caseolaris was tested for antioxidant activity using 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging effect on thin-layer chromatography and two flavonoids, luteolin 7-O-β-glucoside and luteside, were isolated and found to possess antioxidant activity.
Journal ArticleDOI

New Hedgehog/GLI signaling inhibitors from Excoecaria agallocha.

TL;DR: This study describes the first Hh signaling inhibitor which blocks GLI1 movement into the nucleus without interfering with Smo.
Journal ArticleDOI

Bioactivity of Excoecaria agallocha

TL;DR: The results of neuropharmacological, microbiological and toxicological studies on the ethanol extract of the bark of Excoecaria agallocha showed that the extract possesses depressant action on the central nervous system (CNS).
