Journal ArticleDOI
High-quality photonic entanglement for wavelength-multiplexed quantum communication based on a silicon chip
Florent Mazeas,M. Traetta,Marco Bentivegna,Florian Kaiser,Djeylan Aktas,Weiwei Zhang,Carlos Alonso Ramos,L. A. Ngah,Tommaso Lunghi,Eric Picholle,Nadia Belabas-Plougonven,X. Le Roux,Eric Cassan,Delphine Marris-Morini,Laurent Vivien,Grégory Sauder,Laurent Labonté,Sébastien Tanzilli +17 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an efficient energy-time entangled photon-pair source based on four-wave mixing in a CMOS-compatible silicon photonics ring resonator is presented, which shows a large spectral brightness of 400 pairs of entangled photons /s/MHz for 500 μW pump power, compatible with standard telecom dense wavelength division multiplexers.

TL;DR: In this paper, an efficient energy-time entangled photon-pair source based on four-wave mixing in a CMOS-compatible silicon photonics ring resonator has been reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Optical pump-rejection filter based on silicon sub-wavelength engineered photonic structures.
Diego Perez-Galacho,Carlos Alonso-Ramos,Florent Mazeas,Xavier Le Roux,Dorian Oser,Weiwei Zhang,Delphine Marris-Morini,Laurent Labonté,Sébastien Tanzilli,Eric Cassan,Laurent Vivien +10 more
TL;DR: This work reports, for the first time, on the realization of SOI Bragg filters based on sub-wavelength index engineering in a differential corrugation width configuration, and experimentally demonstrates a single-etch, 220 nm thick, Si Bragg filter featuring a corrugations width of 150 nm, a rejection bandwidth of 1.1 nm, and an extinction ratio exceeding 40 dB.
Journal ArticleDOI
Coherency-Broken Bragg Filters: Overcoming On-Chip Rejection Limitations
Dorian Oser,Florent Mazeas,Xavier Le Roux,Diego Perez-Galacho,Olivier Alibart,Sébastien Tanzilli,Laurent Labonté,Delphine Marris-Morini,Laurent Vivien,Eric Cassan,Carlos Alonso-Ramos +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used the French RENATECH network to support the fabrication of the device, which was partially supported by the Conseil General de l'Essonne.

High-quality photonic entanglement based on a silicon chip
Dorian Oser,Sébastien Tanzilli,Florent Mazeas,Carlos Alonso-Ramos,Xavier Le Roux,Grégory Sauder,Xin Hua,Olivier Alibart,Laurent Vivien,Eric Cassan,Laurent Labonté +10 more
TL;DR: A stand-alone, telecom-compliant device that integrates, on a single substrate, a nonlinear photon-pair generator and a passive pump-rejection filter is reported, showing the highest raw quantum interference visibility for time-energy entangled photons over two telecom-wavelength bands.
