TL;DR: In this article , the authors used descriptive statistics and coefficients of variation and determination to ascertain the change in the trend in these factors and their correlates to food security over time, and inferred that temperature increases, political instability, rising food prices and erratic energy supply have had distressing consequences in the areas of affordability, availability and stability of food supplies.

TL;DR: In this article , the authors measured the relationship between annual maize/yam yield as dependent variable and seasonal rainfall as independent variables in four states in Nigeria and found a positive and significant relationship between summed up rainfalls of June/July/August and annual maize yields for thirty-five years under study.
