Directed Metalation of Pi-Deficient Azaaromatics: Strategies of Functionalization of Pyridines, Quinolines, and Diazines

TL;DR: In this article, the directed ortho metalation (DoM) reaction of pyridines, quinolines, pyrimidines and pyrazines has been extensively studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pyridylmagnesium chlorides from bromo and dibromopyridines by brominemagnesium exchange: A convenient access to functionalized pyridines

TL;DR: In this article, various bromopyridines were converted to corresponding pyridylmagnesium chlorides at room temperature by treatment with iPrMgCl and the resulting Grignard reagents were quenched by various electrophiles.
Journal ArticleDOI

Deprotonation of Benzoxazole and Oxazole Using Lithium Magnesates

TL;DR: The isolation of 2-substituted oxazoles and benzoxazoles in medium to good yields after electrophilic trapping was interpreted in two ways: the equilibration between the open and closed structures is faster than the trapping of the open isomers, and the closed isomers are more reactive than the open ones.
Journal ArticleDOI

Metallation regioselective en serie pyridinique: Synthese originale d'amino-2 aroyl-3 pyridines

TL;DR: In this paper, LiDisopropylamide reacts with 2-fluoropyridine at low temperature: regioselectivity is excellent and metallation occurs without side reactions such as nucleophilic attack.
Journal ArticleDOI

Regioselective palladium-catalyzed phenylation of ethyl 4-oxazolecarboxylate

TL;DR: In this article, an efficient and regioselective palladium-catalyzed C-2 arylation of ethyl 4-oxazolecarboxylate 1 with phenyliodide is described.
