Dynamic and Coordinated Epigenetic Regulation of Developmental Transitions in the Cardiac Lineage
Joseph A. Wamstad,Jeffrey M. Alexander,Rebecca Truty,Avanti Shrikumar,Fugen Li,Kirsten Eilertson,Huiming Ding,John N. Wylie,Alexander R. Pico,John A. Capra,Genevieve D. Erwin,Steven J. Kattman,Gordon Keller,Deepak Srivastava,Stuart S. Levine,Katherine S. Pollard,Alisha K. Holloway,Laurie A. Boyer,Benoit G. Bruneau +18 more
TL;DR: A novel preactivation chromatin pattern at the promoters of genes associated with heart development and cardiac function is discovered and forms a basis for understanding developmentally regulated chromatin transitions during lineage commitment and the molecular etiology of congenital heart disease.

Admixture and recombination among Toxoplasma gondii lineages explain global genome diversity
Samuel S. Minot,Mariane B. Melo,Fugen Li,Diana Lu,Wendy Niedelman,Stuart S. Levine,Jeroen P. J. Saeij +6 more
TL;DR: Data show that most current isolates of Toxoplasma gondii are recent recombinants and cannot be easily grouped into a limited number of haplogroups, and a complex picture emerges in which some genomic regions have not been recently exchanged between any strains, and others recently spread from one strain to many others.
