Journal ArticleDOI

Antimutagenic effect of resveratrol against Trp-P-1.

TL;DR: The methanol extract of Yucca schidigera (YE) showed a suppressive effect on umu gene expression of the SOS response induced by 3-amino-1,4-dimethyl-5H-pyrido[4,3-b]indole (Trp-P-1) in Salmonella typhimurium TA1535/pSK1002, without a significant effect on bacterial growth.
Journal ArticleDOI

Teratogenic interaction of ethanol and hyperthermia in mice

TL;DR: It was suggested that pretreatment with a small dose of ethanol may not enhance the teratogenicity of heat when the hyperthermic stress is strong enough and teratogenic by itself, but results indicate that ethanol and heat can be synergistically ter atogenic in mice when the doses of each agent are below the tertogenic threshold.
