Journal ArticleDOI
The genetic and non-genetic toxicity of the fungicide Vinclozolin
Patrizia Hrelia,Carmela Fimognari,Francesca Maffei,F. Vigagni,R. Mesirca,Laura Pozzetti,Moreno Paolini,G. Cantelli Forti +7 more
TL;DR: Findings indicate the clastogenic activity and the possible cotoxic, cocarcinogenic and promoting potential of Vinclozolin.
Journal ArticleDOI
Drinking water quality: an in vitro approach for the assessment of cytotoxic and genotoxic load in water sampled along distribution system.
Francesca Maffei,Fabio Carbone,G. Cantelli Forti,Annamaria Buschini,Paola Poli,C. Rossi,Laura Marabini,Sonia Radice,Enzo Chiesara,Patrizia Hrelia +9 more
TL;DR: In vitro approach to assess the quality of drinking water collected at two treatment/distribution networks located near the source and the mouth of River Po can contribute to improve the monitoring drinking water.
Journal ArticleDOI
RM and log P values of 5-nitroimidazoles
Maria Clelia Guerra,A.M. Barbaro,G. Cantelli Forti,M.T. Foffani,Gian Luigi Biagi,Pier Andrea Borea,A. Fini +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the chromatographic RM values of a series of nitroimidazoles and their log P values were determined in view of a study of their structure-activity relationships as mutagenic agents.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bile as a source of mutagenic metabolites produced in vivo and detected by Salmonella typhimurium.
TL;DR: The in vivo metabolic activation of several mutagenic compounds was assayed in the bile of rats, with Salmonella typhimurium as the indicator organism, and it was determined that for some compounds, particularly the aromatic amines, a substantial percentage of the compound was excreted into the biles as either a nonmutagenic glucuronide conjugate or a mutagenics metabolite of the compounds.
Journal ArticleDOI
Relationship between the chromatographic behaviour of dermorphin-related oligopeptides and the composition of the mobile phase in reersed-phase thin-layer chromatography: comparison of extrapolated RF values
A.M. Barbaro,Maria Chiara Pietrogrande,Maria Clelia Guerra,G. Cantelli Forti,Pier Andrea Borea,Gian Luigi Biagi +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the RT>F values of dermorphin-related oligopeptides were determinded in two reversed-phase thin-layer chromatographic systems, the mobile phase being an aqueous buffer alone or mixed with various amounts of methanol or acetone.
