TL;DR: In this article, the radical addition of aliphatic aldehydes to various unsaturated compounds, initiated by autooxidation, was studied, and the mechanism of initiation by oxygen in the presence of cobalt salts and without the participation of a catalyst was discussed.

TL;DR: Manganese triacetate reacts with aliphatic aldehydes in equimolar ratio to form acyl radicals, which can participate in reactions typical of them: recombination, decarbonylization, and addition to a double bond as discussed by the authors.

TL;DR: The addition of esters to unsaturated epoxy compounds, initiated by di-t-butyl peroxide, forms esters containing an epoxy group as mentioned in this paper, which can be used to create epoxy groups.

TL;DR: In this paper, homolytic alkylation of methyl tetrahydro-2-furoate, tetrahedrofurfuryl alcohol, and tetrahydrofur furoate with unsa.tura.
Abstract: 1. In the homolytic alkylation of methyl tetrahydro-2-furoate, tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol, and tetrahydrofurfuryl acetate with unsa.tura.ted compounds mainly 2,2-disubstituted tetrahydrofurans are formed. 2. By the free-radical addition of heptyl, benzyl, and cyclohexyl alcohols to acrylonitrile the correspondingγ-hydroxy nitriles were obtained.
