A simulation of texture development in f.c.c. metals

TL;DR: A simulation of the development of rolling texture in f.c. polycrystals has been performed, assuming that the deformation mechanism is multiple {111} 〈110〉 slip as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fracture behaviour of crystalline Al3Ni intermetallic fibres

TL;DR: Fracture surface morphologies have been examined in detail in fibres of the intermetallic phase Al3Ni using scanning electron microscopy and relative crack propagation velocities were also obtained from Wallner line markings on fracture surfaces.
Journal ArticleDOI

Brittle fracture surface morphologies of crystalline intermetallic fibres

TL;DR: In this paper, the fracture surface morphologies of crystalline intermetallic fibres were examined by scanning electron microscopy and the results suggest that brittle fracture mechanisms in crystalline solids may be markedly similar to those in amorphous solids.
