Biosynthetic methods are alternative approaches which are much safer than the normal techniques (physical and chemical) used for the methods for synthesis of metal nanoparticles. The benefits are sample as it is economic and environment friendly. Herein present investigation, we have reported a microwave mediated eco-friendly synthetic approach for preparing cerium oxide (CeO 2 ) nanoparticles. Here, we used Moringa oleifera peel as the stabilizing and reducing agent towards synthesize of Ce 2 O NPs via microwave irradiation. The NPs were further characterized using UV–Vis, FT-IR, XRD and HR-TEM techniques. The FTIR analysis confirmed the phytochemical involvement in NPs stabilization. The crystallinity of CeO 2 nanoparticles are well demonstrated through X-ray Diffraction and HR-TEM. The TEM images reveal the spherical shape of the CeO 2 NPs having an average size of 45 nm. Additionally, these CeO 2 NPs were used successfully as a catalyst in the degradation of the dye, crystal violet. Also the antibacterial activity of the synthesized CeO 2 NPs was evaluated using Staphylococcus aureus (Gram positive bacteria) and Escherichia coli (Gram negative bacteria). CeO 2 NPs showed better activity on E. coli than S. aureus . We have demonstrated an eco-friendly preparation of CeO 2 nanoparticles, a good photocatalyst and having better antibacterial properties.

Synthetic strategy with representation on mechanistic pathway for the therapeutic applications of dihydroquinazolinones.

The main aim of this study is to investigate the interaction of 7-fluoro-2,2-dimethyl-2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4(1H)-one with lysozyme through various spectrophotometric studies. The graph such as Stern-Volmer plot, modified Stern Volmer plot, double logarithmic plot and Van't Hoff plot were plotted to determine the various parameters essential for predicting the interaction. The interaction of the ligand with the protein was further confirmed by circular dichroism and NMR study. The molecular docking was performed and the results obtained were correlated with the other studies. The importance of fluorine was justified through the prediction of pKa values and the possible metabolic pathway using the in silico tools. In addition, the cytotoxicity of the compound was carried out using HeLa cancer cell.

Palladium chemistry has grown into an extremely powerful strategy for C-C bond formation. The reported methodology is based on the eco-friendly synthesis of palladium nanoparticles (PdNPs) obtained from the methanolic extract of Carissa carandas (C. carandas) fruit extract. The synthesized PdNPs were characterized by UV-Vis spectroscopy, FTIR, SEM, TEM, XRD, zeta potential and particle size analyzer. The synthesized PdNPs were applied in Suzuki Miyaura Coupling reaction and further it was subjected to its toxicity assessment against the species of Artemia salina. The synthesis was carried out by both conventional and non-conventional methodology. The yield comparison was performed based on the amount of catalyst and condition. The catalytic efficiency and recyclability of the nanoparticles were performed. The post-synthesis comparative analysis on the quality of reaction based on E-factor and Eco-Scale to paramount its impact on the ecological friendliness.
