Partially coherent defocused imaging of bar and periodic objects

TL;DR: In this article, the authors considered defocused image formation from the viewpoint of coherence theory and found that the intensity distribution of pure phase objects depends on the defocus direction, which is strongly influenced by the coherence parameter S and the phase part of the object.
Journal Article

Einfache Modelle zur Simulation der Abbildung 3-dimensionaler Strukturen

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the interpretation of the Hopkins-Formula of partially coherent defocused imaging corresponds with the real results of imaging 3D structures, and reflections on the validity of the theory were made.
Journal Article

Optical preprocessing as inspection tool

R. Hild, +2 more
- 01 Jan 1995 -
TL;DR: The influence of apodization-, edge enhancement filters and dark field methods on the images of wafers with crystal growth defects are discussed in detail.
Journal Article

Influence of schlieron on imaging properties of an optical system. II, Modulation transfer function (MTF)

R. Hild, +2 more
- 01 Jan 1990 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of schlieren in a lens on the imaging properties of an incoherent optical system is investigated by the modulation transfer function (MTF) in the pupil plane.
Journal ArticleDOI

High focal depth imaging by beam shaping optical elements

TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyse the imaging behavior of beam shaping optical elements (BSOE) and discuss their applications in photolithographic projection systems as optical filters producing a high depth of focus.
