Journal ArticleDOI
Larvicidal potential of medicinal plant extracts against Anopheles subpictus Grassi and Culex tritaeniorhynchus Giles (Diptera: Culicidae).
Chinnaperumal Kamaraj,Asokan Bagavan,Abdul Abdul Rahuman,A. Abduz Zahir,Gandhi Elango,G. Pandiyan +5 more
TL;DR: Results suggest that the leaf petroleum ether, flower methanol extracts of C. auriculata, leaf and seed methanl extracts of S. torvum and leaf hexane extract of V. negundo have the potential to be used as an ideal eco-friendly approach for the control of the A. subpictus and C. tritaeniorhynchus mosquito vector.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of indigenous plant extracts against larvae of Culex quinquefasciatus Say (Diptera: Culicidae).
Abdul Abdul Rahuman,Asokan Bagavan,Chinnaperumal Kamaraj,M. Vadivelu,A. Abduz Zahir,Gandhi Elango,G. Pandiyan +6 more
TL;DR: All plant extracts showed moderate larvicidal effects after 24 h of exposure at 1,000 ppm; however, the highest larval mortality was found in stem-bark hot water, acetone, and methanol extracts of C. quinquefasciatus.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of larvicidal and nymphicidal potential of plant extracts against Anopheles subpictus Grassi, Culex tritaeniorhynchus Giles and Aphis gossypii Glover.
Asokan Bagavan,Chinnaperumal Kamaraj,Abdul Abdul Rahuman,Gandhi Elango,A. Abduz Zahir,G. Pandiyan +5 more
TL;DR: Results suggest that the peel methanol extracts of C. sinensis and O. canum have the potential to be used as an ideal eco-friendly approach for the control of the A. tritaeniorhynchus and A. gossypii.
