Journal ArticleDOI
Measurements of proton radiative capture cross sections relevant to the astrophysical rp- and γ-processes
F. R. Chloupek,A. St. J. Murphy,Richard N. Boyd,A. L. Cole,Joachim Görres,R. T. Güray,G. Raimann,J. J. Zach,Thomas Rauscher,J. V. Schwarzenberg,P. Tischhauser,Michael Wiescher +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, measurements have been made of the Zr-96(p,gamma)Nb-97, Sn-112(p-gamma), Sb-Sb-113, and Sn-119(p/gamma)-Sb120 cross section excitation functions, and incident proton energies ranged from 2.8 MeV to 8.5 MeV.
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification of new nuclei near the proton drip line.
M. Hencheck,R. N. Boyd,Margareta Hellström,David J. Morrissey,M. J. Balbes,F. R. Chloupek,Michael Fauerbach,C. A. Mitchell,R. Pfaff,Christopher F. Powell,G. Raimann,B. M. Sherrill,M. Steiner,J. Vandegriff,Sherry Yennello +14 more
TL;DR: Nine new very neutron-deficient isotopes of Ag, Pd, Rh, and Ru have been identified among the reaction products of an 60 MeV beam using the A1200 projectile fragment separator at the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory.
Journal ArticleDOI
Astrophysical reaction rates for 10B(p, alpha )7Be and 11B(p, alpha )8Be from a direct model.
TL;DR: In this article, the transition to ground states and first excited states at low energies was investigated using DWBA calculations, and a consistent parametrization for the transition was given.
Journal ArticleDOI
Study of the β-delayed neutron emission of 19C
A. Ozawa,G. Raimann,Richard N. Boyd,F. R. Chloupek,M. Fujimaki,K. Kimura,Hisashi Kitagawa,T. Kobayashi,J. J. Kolata,Shigeru Kubono,Isao Tanihata,Y. X. Watanabe,Kenichi Yoshida +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, the β-delayed neutron emission of 19 C has been studied with the hope of observing states in 19 N close enough to the 18 N+n threshold to be of astrophysical significance.
Journal ArticleDOI
Levels in {sup 17}C above the {sup 16}C+neutron threshold
G. Raimann,A. Ozawa,Richard N. Boyd,F. R. Chloupek,M. Fujimaki,K. Kimura,T. Kobayashi,J. J. Kolata,Shigeru Kubono,Isao Tanihata,Y. X. Watanabe,Kenichi Yoshida +11 more
TL;DR: The $\beta$-delayed neutron decay of B was studied using a radioactive ion beam to give information on states in C above the neutron threshold, and these low lying states are of possible interest for nuclear physics as well as for astrophysics.
